Cemedine 8008B (Black) and 8008W (White) are one-component moisture-curing polyurethane structural adhesives designed for high-strength and weather-resistant bonding. Both feature high solid content (>94%), excellent deep-section curing capability, and broad substrate compatibility. 8008W exhibits lower viscosity at elevated temperatures, while 8008B offers superior electrical insulation properties.
This series utilizes modified polyurethane chemistry for rapid moisture activation and deep curing. 8008W is a white paste, while 8008B is black, with densities of 1.27 g/cm³ and 1.26 g/cm³ respectively. At 23°C/50%RH, both achieve a curing depth of 1.75–1.83 mm within 24 hours, forming flexible bonds (200% elongation for 8008W, 310% for 8008B) that absorb thermal stress. The formulation ensures stable mechanical and electrical performance from -40°C to 120°C.
Adaptability to Extreme Environments
· Thermal Aging: After 4 weeks at 130°C, strength retention >3.6 MPa (8008W) and >3.8 MPa (8008B) on aluminum.
· Thermal Cycling: >114% strength retention after 2000 cycles (-40°C↔120°C).
Electrical Insulation
8008B volume resistivity reaches 1.36×10¹² Ω·cm, surpassing 8008W (1.06×10¹² Ω·cm), ideal for precision electronics.
Chemical Resistance
Short-term (30-min) immersion maintains >94% strength in water, oil, and 10% saline; long-term (7-day) mineral oil resistance >94%.
